About Us

Flag Run Lavender is born out of a desire to create a space in which one can pause, breathe deeply, enjoy the view and fragrance of nature. This peaceful spot nestled in the town of Springs Pa, deep in Amish countryside,  has a picturesque creek flowing through the front yard which gives the farm its name "Flag Run."

Doug and Jo reside on the property, have raised a family here and started a hobby farm. Jo began to envision the breathtaking view from the top of their hillside as the perfect backdrop for a field of lavender. 

When Doug isn't working hard to bring Jo's dreams into reality, he can be found in his woodshop. Like his father before him, he has a deft hand at the lathe and enjoys coming up with new designs. He takes special care in bringing out the natural grains and colors in his woodworking, letting the wood itself take center stage.   

With a plan to combine their passions, Doug and Jo are preparing to plant their lavender field in 2026 with the eventual goal of having an on-site store. They hope to create a place of tranquility and rest that will be enjoyed for many years to come. In the meantime they will craft products that will bring a little of that rhythm of rest, peace and enjoyment in the everyday lives of their customers.
